OCCC Vision Gardens Provides the Freshest Plants For Guest Meals
Orange County Convention Center is doing something very unique and historic. The addition of Vision Gardens allows OCCC to serve in-house grown vegetables, plants, and fruits in an all-natural and chemical free setting.
Located in the Westwood Lobby, Vision Gardens consists of 81 towers cultivating over 80,000 plants annually of fresh, nutritious vegetables for meals prepared at the OCCC. Some of the ingredients that will be available for guest meals are foster herbs, edible flowers, artisan lettuces, hearty greens (i.e. chard, spinach and bok choys), and vegetables (i.e. tomatoes, peppers, and squash).
Teaming up with Orange County Convention Center the design and construction of this project was completed by local firms. Rhodes + Brito was the design architect, Advanced Structural Design was the structural engineer, Milan Engineering was the electrical and plumbing engineer and Axios Construction Services was the general contractor.
This is a great addition to the Orange County Convention Center and is helping to prove that this is the best place to hold events and conferences. Vision Gardens is helping prove the City Beautiful is the best city in the entire world filled with new technology, innovation, and creativity.
